Designed to be tall enough to allow the hydrometer to submerge in the alcohol being tested and with a small diameter so the hydrometer's numbers can be viewed easily through the cylinder.
Since alcohol testing should not be performed in a bottle, this special-shaped plastic container is recommended to insure accurate hydrometer readings.
